Run against drug abuse organised

As many as 153 participants, including women, took part in a 3-km race, ‘Run against Drug Abuse’, organised by the Police Department here today. It was aimed at making people aware of the ill-effects of drug abuse.

The run was flagged off by District and Sessions Judge CL Kochhar from Seri Munch in the town.

SP Prem Kumar Thakur said 132 men and 21 women had taken part. They pledged to spread a message against drug abuse in society.

“The motive was to spread a message in society to shun the habit of drug abuse, which affects a person physically and mentally,” he said.
